Where Craft Meets Style: The Barehands Gallery

New Store
BAREHANDS, #B2-10A/11

A new chapter of conscious craft and contemporary design

Barehands, Singapore’s homegrown ethical fashion label, opens a new boutique at Takashimaya Shopping Centre. Known for its thoughtful approach to craft and community, the brand presents its signature blend of artistry, slow fashion and intimate storytelling in a space designed to encourage discovery and connection.

Since its founding in 2019, Barehands has become known for its collaborative production model with artisans across the region. The brand’s philosophy echoes an international cohort of conscious designers such as Lemlem, Brother Vellies and Apiece Apart, where heritage techniques meet refined, contemporary aesthetics.

A considered and immersive space

The Barehands Gallery is shaped by warm wood, gentle lighting and tactile details that evoke a sense of stillness and intention. Every element is purposeful. Pottery lamps made using deadstock fabric, locally designed furniture and handcrafted accents reflect the brand’s ongoing dialogue with makers and creatives.

A made-to-order corner anchors the gallery, allowing visitors to customise fit and fabric after trying on a piece. Each garment is produced by Barehands’ artisan partners within a four to seven week timeframe, supporting slower production cycles and reduced waste.

The store also includes a storytelling nook that invites guests to explore the journeys of the artisans behind each design. Through intimate visuals and thoughtful narratives, the space highlights the human connection at the heart of the brand and offers a closer look at the skills, traditions and personal histories that shape every piece.
